Bell ringer: Draw a helium atom and label with particle names and charges.
Next we worked on the Draw an Atom worksheet as a class and we discussed ions and isotopes. We also discussed bonding and watched the following movie about bonding.

Oops! I forgot to post for the 17/18 so here it is!
Bell Ringer: look at Carbon on the periodic table and tell me how many protons, neutrons, and electrons there are in a Carbon atom. Also tell me what the symbol, atomic number, and atomic mass are for Carbon.
Next, we reviewed the periodic table as a class and took a periodic table quiz. Then we completed the chapter 2 notes using our textbooks.
