Bell Ringer: Tell me which type of arthropod the following animals are(example: shrimp-crustacean): scorpion, tick, trilobite, dust mite, rolly polly, millipede, butterfly
Next we reviewed the organ systems and then took a 10 point quiz on the organ systems (arrange a time with me to make this up). Next, we went over dichotomous keys. First we completed this number key and then we worked on ficticious animals (sorry, I don't have a digital version). Last of all, students were told to draw an insect by drawing the first thing that comes to their mind when they hear insect.
Honors Biology: Students turned in their ficticious animal worksheets and then we went over the reasons why insects are so successful. Students were given Human Body Systems worksheets (get from me or Mrs. Gingras) to do at home and we spent the rest of the class time pinning insects. Remember that you need to show me you have at least 12 insects next Wednesday for 50 points.
